Truth and Justice For Patrick Docherty

Judge Hardy stated: "Sometimes ladies and gentlemen there is NO direct evidence at all in a case and this is a case, which if it doesn't come into that category is pretty close to it"

Crucial Facts

This part of the site will take a little longer due to being part of court documents.

"There must be what we call corrobortation of the crucial facts. And I emphasise crucial facts.

What are crucial facts?

The first crucial fact is has a crime been commited

The second  crucial fact is in the case of each of the accused, has guilt been proved beyond reasonable doubt?

 What is Corroboration?

Put simply it means that there has to be seperate evidence from a RELIABLE

and INDEPENDENT source.

The KEY WORDS are RELIABLE and CREDIBLE witnesses.Keep those words in mind!

There are three joint minutes lodged. There were also minutes raised by Patrick Docherty.

 Direct Evidence

Direct evidence is simply what a person heard or saw.

Judge Hardy then stated: "Sometimes ladies and gentlemen there is NO direct evidence at all in a case and this is a case, which if it doesn't come into that category is pretty close to it" The crown often relies on circumstantial evidence.
